MWR Performance Terms and Conditions – It is important that customers fully understand the Terms and Conditions under which any work is conducted by MWR Performance follow, thus we ask that customers ensure they read the information on this page in full prior to having us Remap your vehicle. The terms listed below are the most up to date, and the only terms which should be followed (Old posts, flyers, web-posts, site-content, should be disregarded).
- Consent : By having MWR Performance Remap your vehicle, you are consenting us to work on, and change your vehicle from its current form. We will make modifications to the standard software, in order to achieve performance gains. Where required, we make carry out mechanical work, removing and fitting parts in order to gain access to the vehicle’s systems.
- Modifications and Insurance : ECU Remapping is by all means a modification to the vehicle. It remains the customers full responsibility to take any necessary steps to ensure compliance with any insurance providers they are contracted with. MWR Performance never share customer data.
- Virtual Reads – Server Based Tuning : On some later vehicles, Virtual Reads may be required in order to tune a vehicle. This is the procedure when the standard software for the vehicle is downloaded from a server, once a unique match has been found for the vehicle. We then tune this Server File, to create your Remap. In such circumstance, it is impossible to check if a vehicle has been previously tuned, and thus it is possible to overwrite a previous tune. It remains the customers responsibility to know if the vehicle has been tuned. In this circumstance, no refunds or 30-day policy shall apply.
- Lifetime Software Warranty : All our work comes with a lifetime software warranty. This only covers the software. No hardware components, from the ECU itself to any engine parts, are covered by this warranty. It is only software. Additional Mechanical warranties can be purchased via our Partners Quantum Tuning. These carry their own Terms and Conditions.
- General Wear and Tear : As above, no hardware components are covered by any kind of general warranty. We advise customers that vehicles wear and tear, with perishable parts. When tuning your vehicle, it remains your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is fit for tuning. The extra BHP may cause already failing components to let go. It will not solely cause failures. Examples of this can be worn Clutches, to Worn Boost Pipes. No refunds or 30-day policy applies where a mechanical issue is present with the vehicle.
- 30-Day Money Back Guarantee : We offer a 30-day money back guarantee on our work, this is always subject to the following conditions; Not all tuning is covered, depending on Tuning File Development Origin. We do not offer any 30-day money back guarantee to any vehicle with an advertised BHP gain of less that 12%. The gains on such vehicles are advertised as minimal and should you wish to go ahead, you do so with the knowledge that the improvements will be small. This is as advertised, we never make false promises and it is fact that on some vehicles (mainly non-turbo) we are limited with what can be achieved. The 30-Day Money Back Guarantee is ALWAYS exclusive of call out fees when jobs are carried out mobile. Call out fee’s shall be deducted from any refund, for each visit to the customer, including when setting the vehicle back to original settings.
- Call Out Fees : Call out fee’s apply to every job carried out by MWR Performance, at a mobile location. This fee is included in the total cost quoted for tuning your vehicle, and is for the mobile service traveling to you. In Kent, Sussex and Surrey this fee is £75.00 per visit. In London, Essex and other Areas, this fee is £99.00 per visit.
- Back To Stock : We can set a vehicle back to stock at any time, the cost for doing so is dependant on the vehicle, and ECU fitted. For a quote on having your vehicle returned to Stock, please get in touch. Any quotes given at the time of tuning for returning to stock, shall be honoured.
- Payment Assist : For customers using Payment Assist, our 30-day policy does not apply. The involvement of the 3rd Party Loan Company simply makes it not possible. In addition, your first Payment Assist payment is always made before tuning, this is a deposit for your booking. If you need to cancel before we have carried out the work, this deposit is non-refundable.
- These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
Whilst our terms and conditions are a required formality for drawing the line to show clearly where we stand, we at MWR Performance always prefer a personal approach.
